Anzac Day
For the first time since 1998, Anzac Day falls on a Saturday this year. As a national day of remembrance, Anzac Day is held on 25 April - it is not a “public holiday long weekend” like the Queen’s birthday. Whether you are eligible to have Monday 27 April off work depends on the State or Territory you work in and of course your roster:
§ ACT has substituted Monday 27 April as a public holiday
§ WA has declared Monday an additional public holiday
§ NSW, QLD, VIC, SA, TAS and NT have declared Saturday 25 April only as a public holiday – Monday is a normal business day.
